Random Pictures And A Video From Past 2 Months

I have been horrible with this blogging thing since finding out I was pregnant. And, to be honest, I've been horrible with most things in my life since early March! But, now that I'm getting out of that awful 1st trimester, I'm remember who I used to be and actually finding the energy to be that person again!!! So, I'm going to start with the blog. Hopefully by the end of the week we'll have pictures hanging up in our not-so-new-anymore apartment!! That would be nice!

Here is a picture of the crazy blizzard we had about a month or so ago. It was insane! The week before we had beautiful weather! It was bright and sunny, we got little sunburns, it was perfect! As we were getting ready for church, we noticed some pretty big storms clouds coming in and we had a fun little thunderstorm. As we drove to church it was coming to a close and it looked like it was leaving. But an hour later, after sacrament meeting, we looked outside and all we saw was WHITE!!!!!! It was storming, and bad! I've seen some crazy snow storms here in Rexburg, but this was the first time I felt confident in saying this was a true blizzard! It lasted for about 6 hours and when it was over we had a good 6 inches against both doors. Of course as soon as it was done the sun was out, blue skies were visible, and the snow was gone by the next day. That's what great about spring storms! The snow comes and goes pretty quickly. Oh, and even though it was pretty cold and stormy, Michael still wanted to play in it! He didn't care.

This video isn't the best (are they ever on this blog??) but it's Michael singing me happy birthday (I turned 26 on March 15th). I was pretty shocked that he knew this song! We sang it for his birthday and apparently it stuck! I wanted to get it on camera but of course when he saw the camera he was done. But you get a small sample towards the end.

Before the camera was out he didn't need any prompting from either of us. He really just knows it! I'll have to see if I can get a better video on Nathan's birthday (May 10th)

Playing Outside In Warm California

Okay, so here are some more pictures of our stay in california over christmas break!! It has been so fun to look through all these pictures and see that warm sun!!! Okay, so the california folk wont believe this, but I actually drove in the car today with the window down because it was a bit warm. And I actually wanted to open a window for a second in our apartment. Any guesses on what the temperature was??? It was 37 degress!!!! Ya, pretty insane but the snow and ice is kind of melting and we're getting more and more excited!!!

Here are the pictures that I thought were best of Michael playing outside. It's soooo difficult to decide which pictures are best. My brothers are just too good at capturing Michael's personality!!

SNOW, SNOW AND MORE SNOW!!!!!

So, since about x-mas eve we have been getting dumped on!!!! We have seriously, in the last 2 months, only had about 7 days of no snow TOTAL!!! And 3 of those are just this past week. We are very hopeful that it will slow down and go away soon. Today it was very sunny and kind of warm and it was only about 36!!!! We're getting excited for warmth to arrive!! So I took some pictures of Michael on Saturday walking around the complex. We walked around one time and then he was done.




So I was trying to give you a good idea of just how much snow we have, and I'm not sure I've succeeded, but the snow on the side walk goes over Michael's head!!! It's pretty high up. It goes to about my knee, if not a bit higher.


This is a picture pretty much for my Mom's benefit. When she was here to help me out with Michael's arrival 2 years ago she spent a few days walking around Rexburg and taking pictures of anything from the icicles hanging from roofs to the snow men people had made and just pictures of the snow. She was pretty fascinated, so when I saw this man shoveling off his roof because there was too much snow on it, I thought of her and had to take a picture of it!!!

Snow Fun

I just love the way Michael looks in his snowsuit. Almost like the little kid from the Christmas Movie (or that's what people tell me, I have yet to see it)


This is the silly face he makes at me every time I have the camera and I say "cheese" He makes this face and then says a version of cheese. It's really cute.



These are pictures of our complex as we're coming out of our apartment. It was really scary for a while and I was also worried that it would fall onto us or Michael. Eventually it did come down.

SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!

We have gotten quite a bit of snow in the last week. It seems like it hasn't stopped snowing the whole week and it's supposedly going to snow for about the next 2 weeks!!!! Thankfully we wont be here for most of that!! But here are some pictures from our adventures in the snow from last Monday.

This is kind of a sad picture because he had just fallen into the snow, but he just looked soo funny.

And we love this snowsuit!!! It's not the cutest one I've seen, but I found it at a second hand store and it was only 8 bucks!!! I couldn't pass it up!

Winter Is Here, Continued

This is just a picture of Michael walking around and you can also see how much snow we got (Although, we still got another hour of heavy snowfall after this.)


Here is another cute picture of Michael helping Nathan make a snowman. He had such a blast!

Winter Is Here!!!!!!!

I can't believe it, but it seems that winter is already here!!! It has technically been fall for only 2 weeks, and we got about 3 inches of snow today. Here are a few pictures of playing outside. I would post a lot more, but the computer I'm using is having issues. I'll post more later!


Michael is helping Nathan make a snowman. He had sooo much fun outside this morning!!! He was laughing and running all around "throwing" snowballs. It was great!


This is Michael after we've got him ready to play in the snow. He hates being in soo many clothes inside, but as soon as he's outside, He doesn't seem to mind.

Michael LOVES it when it rains because then he can jump in the puddles. Here are a few pictures from after the storm.
