After that we went to the grocery store and that was CROW-DED! It was the rexburg hunt all over again. We all waited outside the aisles for the hunt to start, and when it did, there were some kids that got baskets full, and then kids like Michael that didn't get one egg! I was a bit perturbed, to say the least, and Michael was sad that he didn't get anything.
I was grateful when some of the employees came around with bags of eggs that weren't hidden to give to the kids like Michael.
Then we came home and dyed some eggs. Michael was interested in the eggs for a few minutes, but then thought it was much more interesting to mix the colors on a plate. So that's what he did.
But we did have an interesting conversation about how to catch the easter bunny. I'm going to be VERY sad when he figures out the realities of the holidays.
The finished products
The next morning the boys came down to their loot!
I have some videos of their easter egg hunting, and I know they're not that exciting, but I also know that my mom misses seeing our kids on the holidays, so these are for her. There are some funny parts, though, that other viewers might enjoy.

We typically stay away from the town easter egg hunts for that reason! We like to hold our own or find small ones like you!
Looks like you had fun though!
