And Now For A Fun Post!!

We had a really fun ward Halloween party on Saturday, October 24. It started out with pizza and then there were carnival games for the children. This was seriously the funnest party I had been to in our ward since we moved in (3.5 years ago) and I think it was because Michael is at the perfect age for starting to understand a little about Halloween and how to play some carnival games. They had areas for the kids to do a cake walk (that was interesting!!), "fishing", cookie decorating, a game that involved throwing a hoop and trying to get it to land on a capri sun juice bottle. He also made a "ghost" with a tootsie pop and kleenex. Like I said, it was very fun.

After the games, they had a trunk or treat where Michael got quite a bit of candy...it was very yummy!!


Here is Michael in his costume. He was a dinosaur. This is actually a costume that Nathan's mother had made when Nathan's siblings were young. She brought it down for Michael to play with in August and I was very relieved to see that it still fit him well enough for this Halloween!!

Here Michael is checking out his loot of candy. I think he was a bit surprised that he got so much candy and didn't have to do anything to get it!

I have no idea why, but in ALL of the pictures with Michael and I, he looking everywhere BUT the camera!!! We seriously took like 8 pictures, each trying to get him to look at the camera. He absolutely REFUSED!!! But of course, when I was taking the pictures of Michael and Nathan, Michael was more than willing to watch the camera....whatever!!!

This is after we were home. Michael wasn't interested in any of the candy at first. He just wanted the good stuff...JUICE!!!!!!
