He immediately knew this was the tree that Christ knelt next to and prayed on.
And when he saw this picture he said, "this is where they layed Jesus's body after he died." Now, I'm aware that this is not where they layed his body, but the angle of this picture that's included in the scriptures shows the round hole in the center of the photograph. So it looks like a tomb hole.It was such a neat experience for Nathan and I and we realized that even though it may not seem like Michael is paying attention or learning anything, he really is.
And, I really have Nathan to thank for this. Every night he reads Michael a scripture story from either the New Testament, Old Testament, Book Of Mormon, or the Doctrine and Covenants. Then they say prayers and Michael goes to bed. I'm so grateful for the gospel and the chance that I have to teach these little children about Christ and the love that he has for us. Michael has such a HUGE love for Jesus and a strong desire to know about him. It's such a blessing for Nathan and I to see the innocence of a child and how open they are to the truths of the gospel. I can truly understand why in the scriptures we're told to become like little children.
