Michael Is Four!!!!!!!!!

Weight: 36 Pounds (53rd Percentile)
Length: 42 Inches (85th Percentile!)
I can't believe that Michael is 4 years old! It doesn't seem like it was that long ago that he was born. But he's a great source of happiness and joy, and we wouldn't trade anything for him!
We had a really fun day. He loved the fact that it was his birthday. I LOVE birthdays!!! In my mind, they're an extremely special day where the birthday boy/girl should be made to feel extremely special. That being said, we didn't really do anything for him on his actual birthday, since he had a party, but he had fun time getting as much attention from me and Nathan as he could. He loved being told Happy Birthday! And everytime I'd tell him "Happy Birthday!" he'd say, "ya, you too!" He was very cute!
When Nathan came home from work we opened presents and then went out to eat. Here is a video of Michael opening his presents from us and my parents. You'll have to turn up the volume on your computer to hear what he's saying, and listen really closely to the first few seconds. It's tough to catch what he says as he's opening the present, but it's absolutely hilarious what he says and does!! We were busting up laughing. I'm really glad Nathan was recording.

Mom, he really does like the jammies. He just wanted to get to the toys!!

He was really excited to get sung too at the restaraunt. Although, the waiter was a bit clueless, and it annoyed me a bit. So we told the guy it was Michael's birthday and he said okay and that he'd bring out a little dessert for him. So towards the end of our dinner a group of waiters/waitresses came out clapping and singing. They went to a different couple, but it got Michael excited for his turn. So our waiter comes over and we mention that we're ready for Michael's dessert. So he leaves and then comes back out a few minutes later and places a wimpy little cup of ice cream on the table and starts to walk away! I had to stop the guy and ask him to gather the waiters and sing a song to Michael. It was just kinda wierd. I mean, it's a kids birthday and they'd just done a big thing 5 minutes before. The waiter seemed a bit embarrased that he didn't do it initially, but also a bit annoyed that he had to do it. It bugged me. But, Michael liked it, and that's what's important!

Michael is so funny, because he gets really excited anticipating something, and then when it's happening he's just quiet. Almost like he's just taking it in and processing it. Then when it's over he's non-stop talking about it. That's exactly how it was this night. I LOVE that little, sorry Michael, BIG boy!!
