So Michael and I (this is one of Nathan's rare posts) have been building a snow playground in our backyard for a couple weeks.
We have about 2-3 feet of accumulated snow in our yard so we had plenty to work with.
Our backyard is also on an incline so we build several snow hills to add to the incline. We also cleared a wide path under the homemade hill so that we could go very fast. It was fun - really fun at least until it got too slick and Michael didn't enjoy the speed. :)
We then decided that one of our snow hill needed a snow man - so we built up the hill a little higher and built a snowman, which Michael has named "Michael the Snowman."
Then several days ago the temperature rose a little and melted the outside of our hills -then it promptly froze again that night. So we decided that making snow caves would be fun now that the outside of our hills were made of ice. We've built two of them.
I think this is the first time Michael has ever built a snow cave... and maybe even a snowman.
It's been a lot of fun!
I'll miss the snow if we decide to move south.
