Michael has discovered the wonderful joys of Pretend Play. He loves to get toys or random objects and put them into a pan. Most of the time he will come in and get a spoon or something to "stir" those toys with. I thought it was funny today when I saw he was using oven mits to play with. Pretty cute!
I'm not sure I have ever been glad I wasn't home MORE than this day. I came home and Nathan just showed me this picture. Michael is getting taller every day (sidenote, he is 3 ft. tall. I measured him today! Crazy!) and is now able to get into the top drawer of his changing table/dresser and he found his lotion and diaper rash cream....BIG MESS!!!!
Doesn't he just look guilty!!!!
One of the funnest things but most interesting about having a 2 year old is watching all the things they NEED to do all by themselves. This was another of those occasions. Michael needs to dress him self most days. We successfully got his shirt on, but were just waiting for pants. He was quiet for a few minutes so I went to check on him. This is what I found.

Just to state the obvious fact, he was trying to put his shorts on over his head. It didn't work out too well.
Who knew a chair could be the perfect obstacle course and be used non-stop for such a long time!!!!! I certainly didn't. But I'm glad Michael did, because I got so much done while he was exploring the chair!! It was very funny to watch. He did this constantly for about 30 minutes, maybe more. Then he took a nap...for maybe an hour. Before I laid him down I told him he could play with his chair again after he slept...so he slept the bare minimum and got up and went right back to playing. What a fun time he had!
