This is the singing time activity that I did for singing time in church last week. I was pretty proud of it and it took me so long to complete it that I figured I would share it with you all out in blog land! Not that I think it's anything wonderful, but it was fun. They are flowers (hopefully that's obvious) and I taped them onto straws that were adjustable (in order to arrange them somewhat nicely) and taped songs onto the backs of them. I didn't have any vases that were short enough for the short straws, so I just got out one of our "fancy" glasses and used that. It was the perfect size! The kids were a bit bummed that they couldn't keep them, but they really liked the activity...that doesn't mean they actually sang for me, but they liked it. Hopefully this will help someone who has this utterly difficult calling and give them some kinds of inspiration!
