An Update on What Nathan and Amy Are Doing in their Lives

Now that there is a link on my sister's blog to my blog, I imagine there are a few people other than my mom and Kellie who look at our blog. So because of this, I decided to add Nathan and I to the updates.

Nathan is almost done with school and is so close. He can be done in December, but might wait until April to actually graduate. He wants to see about repeating a few classes and raising his G.P.A. to get into a masters program at BYU. His major is Communications with an emphasis in Broadcasting and his minor is Sociology. He is hoping to get into BYU and do his masters in Public Administration. Don't ask us what that means or what he wants to do with it, but that's what he's doing. He's currently working with the school (BYU-Idaho) creating online classes for the teachers in his department (communication).

I am still going to school as well. Hopefully, I only have about 2 more semesters left. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but it feels like it will take FOREVER!!!!! My major is Child Development and I have yet to figure out what I'm minoring in. I'm thinking of doing psychology and communication, but I'm not sure. That is what I will figure out and complete in my last semester, hopefully.

I also have a job working with Parents as Teachers as a parent educator. I absolutely LOVE this program and love working for them. I did my internship with them from Jan. to Aug. and then they hired me on. I was grateful and excited. So what I do is I go into the homes of parents in my area and I give them information on their childrens development and give them parenting advice. I give information on topics like discipline, tooth brushing, potty training, the importance of play, etc. Pretty much everything that a child does and goes through, this program has information on it. It's very useful and a lot of fun. The other thing I love about this program is that it's everywhere in the world. The plan right now is that I get a job with them where ever our family moves to. It's great!
