Michael's First Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, here are the long awaited Birthday Photos!!!!! It was a fun night. This is a picture of Michael's hand after he was done digging into the cake. It was a mess!!!! You should have seen the bath tub water after the bath!! It looked like we just threw a bunch of dirt into the water! It was brown and so was the tub after the bath. But it was fun. I think Michael enjoyed himself.

Here we were signing Happy Birthday and he was wanting to touch the candle.

His first experience with the cake. He went for the little eyes and sprinkles. (The eyes were just little chicklets candy...nothing dangerous for a one year old)

Michael was being so careful with the cake and basically eating just one sprinkle at a time. I decided that he needed a little help getting started, so I pushed his whole hand into the cake. It was definitely a new experience for him.

This is another picture of us signing Happy Birthday. It was about 9:30 at night when we finally got to the cake, so Michael was practically falling asleep while we were signing....until he noticed there was a lit candle on top.

It was a really fun night and an adventure making the cake! But I think it turned out alright, thanks to a little help from Grandma Sunderland! I can't wait for the next birthday!
